Mattress accommodation in Rena

Do as so many Birkebeiners through the years - choose mattress accommodation in schools and sports halls together with other ski racers.

Accommodation in Rena is available in schools and other suitable buildings for Birkebeinerrennet (Friday -Saturday) and for SkøyteBirken /TurBirken ski (Thursday-Friday).

Mattress accommodation can be ordered when signing up or at My Page

The mattress is provided, but you must bring your own sleeping bag, and sheet. In the evening, you can purchase food at, or close by, the facility.
If you wish to stay in the same facility as a friend, or you team, make sure you all choose the same site.

Lillehammer

In the Lillehammer area there are several possibilities for accommodation. We will also recommend checking out Airbnb.

If you are looking for accommodation in hotels you must hurry. Some of the hotels are already fully booked, but there should still be some available at   Scandic Lillehammer. Another option in the city is Lillehammer Camping - offers cabins and apartments.

You can also order bus directly to the start in Rena from Hafjell, where there still are severel potions for accommodation. Check out Hafjell Resort  - hotel rooms, apartments and cabins. At Hunderfossen Resort there are hotel rooms and cabins still available.

Mesnabakken  - a boarding house still have available rooms.

Please find more information about accommodation in Lillehammer, Rena and Elverum here. The Birken buses to the start in Rena will stop in Brumunddal, Moelv, Hamar and Elverum at race day.
