BarneBirken ski
A true Birkebeiner starts early
On Sunday 15 March 2026, we invite children to take part in BarneBirken Ski at Tingstadjordet in Rena and at Birkebeineren Ski Stadium in Lillehammer. The race is held in classic style in safe and well-organized courses adapted to different age groups. All children aged 0 to 11 can participate.
With a bib number on their chest and spectators cheering along the course, children get to experience the excitement of standing at the start line and the joy of crossing the finish line. Just like the real Birkebeiners, all participants carry a backpack. What they choose to put inside is entirely up to them.
All finishers receive a medal. We recommend registering in advance.
