Whether you’re a beginner or have several races behind you, this is the perfect time to set a goal. With two months to go, you still have plenty of time to build your fitness, find your rhythm, and get ready for race day.
Many use LøpeBirken as motivation throughout the spring – a concrete goal that makes it easier to get out the door and stay consistent with training.
Strong interest – more runners get the chance
Registration for this year’s LøpeBirken is already ahead of last year, with all distances showing higher numbers than at the same time in 2025. Interest is particularly strong for the longer distances.
The races that sold out last year have already surpassed last year’s participant numbers, and capacity has been increased to allow even more runners to take part. The event is now gearing up for more than 10,000 participants, and everything points to LøpeBirken continuing to grow as Norway’s largest trail running event.
Last year, LøpeBirken gathered more than 9,000 participants, and the running festival extended from start to finish. The enthusiasm, effort, and joy of running were truly tangible – both out on the course and in the finish area.
It is this unique combination of challenge and experience that keeps runners coming back year after year – and inspires more and more people to take part. LøpeBirken offers a range of distances, from shorter trail races to demanding mountain challenges. Here, you’ll find a distance that suits you:
