Heavy precipitation and strong winds are forecast in the mountains on Friday. For safety reasons, the jury has therefore decided to delay all race starts at Rena on Friday by two hours.

The safety of our participants and volunteers is always our top priority. We are closely monitoring the weather situation and are in continuous dialogue with meteorologists, medical services, and race management.

Transport and waiting before the start

All buses will depart from their respective locations at the scheduled times. Instead of taking participants to Tingstadjordet, the buses will drop participants off in Rena town centre, so that participants can stay indoors at Åmot Kulturhus until it is closer to their start time.

Bib pickup will also take place at Åmot Kulturhus, not at Tingstadjordet.

Closer to the start time, shuttle buses will run from Rena town centre to the start area, adjusted to the new start times.

Dress according to the conditions
Strong winds and heavy precipitation are expected in the mountains on Friday. In the lowlands, the precipitation may fall as rain. Combined with large amounts of wet new snow, this may result in loose and heavy track conditions, and the race is expected to be demanding. We encourage all participants to dress carefully according to the weather conditions.

We also recommend wearing footwear that can withstand water and moisture before the start. Rain is expected on Friday, and there may be puddles in the start areas. Shoe covers or plastic protection over your shoes may therefore be useful.
